Care about the environment? Eat less meat
If we were to cut back on eating meat, we might as well cut back on the amount of corn being farmed, which today is being more and more used in the bio fuel industry, because then we wouldn't use as many tractors, which emit tons of emmisions. There are so many things that we can do to save the environment, and I am certainly all for that, cutting back on the amount of gas and travelling I do/use, and turning off/unplugging my appliances when not in use, but something such as cutting back on the meat I eat will certainly not be something I will commit to. Growing up on a farm has taught me so much, lessons of hardships and turmoil, lessons which I would have never been able to learn of I were to have grown up as a 'city kid.' People in the cities do not realize how important the agriculture industry is to them, and one day if the criticism of farmers is to continue, farmers may disappear entirely.

Dollar firmer after US rate cut
THE dollar has opened more than eight-tenths of a US cent firmer today as high-yielding currencies gained a boost from an emergency interest rate cut in the United States. The US Federal Reserve slashed rates by three-quarters of a percentage point after global share markets suffered record one-day falls. At 7am AEDT, the dollar was trading at $US0.8679/83, up sharply from yesterday's close of $US0.8594/96. Overnight, the domestic currency traded between a low of $US0.8510 and a high of 0.8721. The cut in the US federal funds rate to 3.5 per cent was the biggest single easing since October 1984. A Toronto-based manager with OzForex, John Corcoran, said the US Federal Reserve's "pre-emptive" move had boosted risk appetite, which in turn helped high interest rate currencies like the dollar.

In a recent report, by a newspaper they said that Lil' Wayne was forced to say sorry to the fine people of Richmond for a weird show that had him leaving early. Well, when he left, they reported that Weezy got booed. I am hearing that this wasn't the truth. Some people that were there told me that when Wayne left the stage, after that first half hearted, performance, the fans booed the DJ for playing music, kinda sending a message that the show was over.
